The light its good, but it takes to much hours to charge ( 16 hours) and only 20 min for use, so i will get another next time,
It doesn't come with instruction, there is not a led or sound when the battery its full, and the light get to hot.

I have two of these lights. I bought them for "run and gun" type videography with a high risk if damage to the equipment. With that in mind I decided to go low budget on the lights. I use these on a Sony PD170, Sony VX2100, and a Canon HV20.
Pros: Cheap purchase price (got it for $108 delivered), Bright Light,barn doors, independent battery, battery has no memory.
Cons: No dimmer (totally blows out subject closer than 6'), Batter pack is HUGE and has an annoying shoulder strap, no instructions, charger has no power indicator to let you know if the battery really is charging, long recharge time, positive and negative cables come off battery easily (while charging or in use), battery does not last as long as advertised, light gets VERY hot, no filters.
I have two units and one battery failed on its 3rd use. While on location following bounty hunters in the field we smelled rotten eggs. We soon realized it was sulfur coming from the battery. The battery then acame very hot and a large bulge formed. We were very lucky it did not explode and bun someone. Bought from 47th Street Photo via Amazon and they promised to replace (we'll see).
The battery is my biggest issue, from charging it to its size it is a huge design flaw.
I have mounted these lights on light stands and used as accent lighting in interviews.
Buy this is you need a bright nonadjustable light with its own battery pack and you have no money. Otherwise save your money and buy a more expensive unit.
Do not even consider this unit for wedding and event videography as it is not color balanced well and anyone closer than 6' will be blown out.

Info - I have a cannon gl2 which does terrible in low lighting. So i purchased this light after needing something brighter than my small led light.
Pros - During the day (in low light situations) this item produces great and powerful light that is visible even in the day.
Cons - The light is way too bright at night, must by a soft box or this is almost pointless to use at night. Also the batter pack is very heavy and annoying. Lastly this light gets very hot and can be hassle for many reasons.
Conclusion - Save your money and buy the litepanel micro on here for about $295. Trust me, this light is wonderful and has a dimmer and does not heat up. That is my best advice.

This is a piece of garbage, 100 wats ligth only works with AC. With the battery only works 50 watts light, the battery charge duration is only 30 minutes, very disapointed with this buy.
